BELA, Basque Electrical Laboratories Alliance, is presenting its High Power and High Voltage testing laboratories at the 43rd edition of the Middle East Electricity (MEE) exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre in the UAE on 6 – 8 March 2018. BELA’s booth is in Hall No 2, at stand E17.
MEE is one of the largest international trade events for power industry. It covers: generation, transmission and distribution of electricity; renewable and nuclear energy sectors; and lighting industry.
“MEE is definitely a major event for us. It gives us the opportunity to meet electrical equipment manufacturers all over the world, and to approach Middle East utilities to get our Test Reports recognised” says Mr. Aitor Kortajarena, Senior Engineer and Technical Director at BELA. TECNALIA (BELA founding member) has been present at MEE Exhibition for the last 6 years and it has already achieved the recognition of main local utilities. This fact has helped BELA to expand to Gulf Countries market. “BELA is the next step to upgrade TECNALIA´s offer to High Power and Extra High Voltage testing“. When talking about BELA’s differential value, Mr. Kortajarena says, “BELA offers full type testing for a wide variety of electrical equipment from Low to Extra High Voltage (EHV), thanks to the High Power (2500 MVA) and EHV (1500 kV AC, 35000 kV BIL) testing facilities. This makes us a reliable partner for conformity assessment and certification of equipment for T&D networks“.
“We are very excited to showcase BELA testing facilities in MEE 2018 and to continue our expansion into the growing Middle East market” he added.
